Abbey to Men
The Abbey of Saint-Étienne, also known as Abbaye aux Hommes ("Men's Abbey") XI and XIII : the choir is the tomb of William the Conqueror, King of England and Duke of Normandy.
The monastery and its cloister destroyed during the wars of religion of 1562-63, then rebuilt in the eighteenth century.
